Configuring AutoMate

AutoMate is very configurable.  Almost every aspect can be fine tuned to meet a user's specific requirements.  To view or modify your preferences, start the AutoMate Task Administrator, click the Tools menu and select the Options.. item.

Preferences are conceptually divided into two parts: Task Administrator and Task Service.  Specific to the AutoMate Task Administrator:

By default, when configuring AutoMate you are configuring the local AutoMate (i.e. the AutoMate running on the same machine as the Task Administrator).  However, when using Remote Administration, the Task Service preferences can be set on any machine you are connected to.  See Using Remote Administration more details.
